Savor the Arts

The concept
A dinner party. Very simple. Invite a group of people to a theme dinner party of your choice, or with a Savor the Arts Theme Card , collect their donation for the Kirksville Arts Association and enjoy your evening with friends old and new.

Our Commitment
To raise $250 per dinner party. Very easy. Invite ten people at $25 per person. Host ten dinner parties per quarter. This would guarantee our quarterly payment for the arts building and allow other donations to be allocated toward capital improvements.

Your Participation
Get involved! Host one party per quarter. You may not be an arts patron per se, but you can still be a philanthropic community leader to benefit others. Contact Judy at 660-665-0500 for information on how to become a Savor the Arts host.

Invitation to the Arts

Invitation to the Arts has been sustained through the KAA for over 25 years. The program brings before- and after-school art workshops to elementary school students in grades 2-5. KAA has organized and sponsored this program with matching funds from Kirksville Primary, Ray Miller Elementary, and Mary Immaculate Schools in Kirksville. All workshops are free to the students. This project supplements and brings additional exposure to these disciplines that children would receive in the normal curriculum by providing classes in visual art, choral music, drama, history, and literature. Instructors are local artists and trained teachers.

With the desired realization of a new Arts Center, the Association hopes to offer additional classes in this facility. The goal is to offer a broader expanse of workshops and to reach a much greater population of children in Kirksville and surrounding communities; thereby enhancing their love and understanding of arts and culture.
