Kirksville Community String Orchestra

Formed in the fall of 2007, the Kirksville Community String Orchestra welcomes all violin, viola, cello, and string bass players from 7^th grade through adult who have played at least one year and can read music. The ensemble was founded to provide a playing opportunity for adults and to encourage enthusiastic young string players in an enjoyable environment of camaraderie. Under the direction of Elaine Boda, the KCSO provides members with stimulating music, mentoring by more experienced players, and  continued growth in musical maturity. The KCSO rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings at the Kirksville Middle School Band Room during the fall and spring and culminates each semester with a concert.
