Class Schedule
All of our workshops and classes take place at the Kirksville Arts Center, 117 S. Franklin, downtown Kirksville. To be fair to our instructors, we do request a minimum of five students in order to conduct a class. Many of our classes also require the instructor to provide you with materials that need to be prepared in advance, so please, sign up early and bring a friend!

Designer-Style
Christmas Cards
Instructor: Brooke Goans
$40 (age 16 years and older)
Maximum of 6 participants per class
Step-by-step we'll make four fabulous designer-style Christmas cards together. These cards are perfect for the special people on your card list. These cards will be framed, not filed. All materials are included in the class fee. Swing by the Kirksville Arts Center to see one sample card album on display.

Hand-Stitched
Journal

Step-by-step we'll make a funky, yet functional, hand-stitched journal together. This journal is perfect for creatives who love to make their own journals for writing, illustrating and/or just doodling! All materials are included in the class fee. Swing by the Kirksville Arts Center to see the sample journal on display.

Designer-Style
Photo Album

Step-by-step we'll make a beautiful designer-style photo album together. It makes the perfect keepsake gift after a weekend adventure with family and friends. All materials are included in the class fee Swing by the Kirksville Arts Center to see the sample album on display.

Half
Full Players - Children's Theatre - Play in a Day Workshop
Instructor: Half Full Player- A Truman State University Children's Theatre Club
$10 (Grades 2-5) - Students need to bring a sack lunch
Maximum of 30 participants
This “Play-in-a-Day” Workshop will give kids an opportunity to perform for friends and family in a short play after working on it all day. The workshop will include songs, dance, and a craft time where the children will make a special prop or costume to be used during the performance

Ceramics
- Making a Relief Tile
Instructor: Alex Thierry
$45 - 4 sessions (age 12 years and older)
Maximum of 8 participants per class
4 Mondays in October: 6,13, 20, 27 | 6:00-8:00 pm
An exploration into tile making that will be more detailed than the average kitchen or bathroom tile. In this class the history of tile making will be discussed briefly while making will be the major emphasis. The tile will take a two-dimensional picture and give it more depth by making it out of clay. All skill levels are welcome.

- Making a Pitcher
Instructor: Alex Thierry
$45 - 4 sessions (age 12 years and older)
Maximum of 8 participants per class
4 Wednesdays in October: 1, 8, 15, 22 | 6:00-8:00 pm
This class will take a ball of clay
and turn it into a functional pitcher. We will briefly discuss the
different ways to make pitchers but will focus on using coils of clay to
build the pitchers. This will offer a easily controlled form that will
be able to be adapted to all skill levels. All skill levels are
welcome.
